Climax Utilities second-quarter sales jump 314 percent

Driven by an increase in players on the game ProEconomica, Climax Utilities sales shot up 314 percent to $8,700 virtual dollars in the second quarter ended June 30.

The top line included sales from April which reached $5,000, the company's highest sales month since opening in November 2014.

“Across the board, our products grew in sales and increased profits,” said Brothel, president and CEO of Climax Utilities. “At this rate we see sales reaching over $22,000 virtual dollars at the end of the year.”

A new Climax Utilities all-time high sales month

Continuing a trend that has prevailed through the first quarter of 2015, Climax Utilities sales hit a new all-time high last month. April total sales hit $4985.46 virtual dollars, up 143 percent from March, the company's previous all-time high. Climax is a virtual electricity and water company created on ProEconomia.

New all-time high sales month for Climax Utilities

Climax Utilities, a virtual electricity and water company created on ProEconomica, announced its 2015 first quarter sales results on Monday. Sales for the first quarter (Jan, 1, 2015 to March 31, 2015) grew 2,687 percent over 2014 fourth quarter results (Oct. 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2014).

2014 fourth-quarter total sales: $75.60 virtual dollars.

2015 first-quarter average sales per month: $700.07 virtual dollars.

Based on 2015 first-quarter sales, Climax is predicting over $8,000 virtual dollars in sales by the end of the year.

Climax Utilities completes first international sale

Climax Utilities, a virtual company created on the website ProEconomica, successfully conducted its first international sale on Thursday. The inaugural international sale was conducted between Climax and a ProEconomica player in Madrid, Spain. The player purchased 30 units of electricity from Climax at a cost of $1.50 per unit using virtual dollars.

Climax Utilities, a virtual company created on the website ProEconomica, successfully conducted its first sale of electricity service on Thursday. The inaugural sale was conducted between Climax and a ProEconomica player in Washington, D.C. The player purchased one unit of electricity from Climax at a cost of $1.99 per unit using virtual dollars.
